The New year has begun, Dresden saw a bit of snow in January and we are eager to get ready for the next groups, who are scheduled to arrive in town when it is getting warmer again.
Continuing education is always important for us during off-season. A great one was: dealing with guests with special needs. Here we learned more about guests with disabilities, so that we/I are able to guide those groups with an even better understanding.
Moreover me, Jana Malschewski-Böhm, and other guides of my team made it – we received our DIN EN guiding certificate in 2013. It is the highest training level for a tourist guide in Europe, so you are able to compare guides all over Europe with one Standard. Many qualifications were asked for, before we were invited to the oral/practical exam – a walking tour for members of Bundesverband der Gästeführer Deutschland e.V. Hard training to proof as one of the twelve highest trained guides in Dresden.
Finally I also included slight changes in prices in 2014. The „old“ numbers dated back to 2006, when DiscoverDresden was launched!
I try my best to offer reduced prices for couples/small families – depending upon the season and availabilities.
We are looking forward guiding you in Dresden and the surrounding area also in 2014.
